Eat Lafayette

(Crowley, La.) – Cajun Country® Rice is the Official Rice of this year’s EatLafayette™ campaign, beginning June 18 and running through September 16. The annual summer event is a celebration of Lafayette’s local restaurants that kicks off with the “Taste of Lafayette” showcase, this year held in conjunction with the 11th annual Louisiana Seafood Cookoff. Expected to draw approximately 2,000 attendees, the combined event will take place June 19 at the Cajundome Convention Center in Lafayette. Tickets are $25 and are on sale now.

Over the course of the summer, participating restaurants will be serving signature dishes using 100% Louisiana grown and milled Cajun Country Rice. During the EatLafayette campaign, Tsunami, Poseidon’s, Veronica’s Café, Cajun Works and Louisiana Poboys will all be serving entrees featuring Cajun Country Rice.

“We’re proud to be the Official Rice of EatLafayette,” said Robert Trahan, co-owner of Cajun Country Rice. “The campaign reminds us all of the importance of supporting the local restaurants, farmers and producers that make our area so special.”
