Commander’s Palace, New Orleans. La.
The best meal I ever had in New Orleans had to be at Commander's Palace. It was a grilled grouper fillet with jumbo lump crabmeat and white chocolate bread pudding for dessert. I think I paid for dinner there instead of my electricity bill that month, but it was sure worth the experience. —Cherie Hebert

Houmas House, Darrow La.
My brother Johnny absolutely loves Houmas House. The gardens in the spring are the most beautiful you've ever seen. Executive Chef Jeremy Langlois creates and serves the finest cuisine you can imagine. Delectable and worth the trip. —Cherie Hebert

Rio Mar, New Orleans
Nestled in the Warehouse District, Rio Mar on the outside looks like a hole in the wall, but on the inside is a hopping restaurant with great atmosphere and delicious food. The menu includes a Spanish approach to Louisiana seafood. —Cathi Pavy
